Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama has said that the government is committed to make Bagmati Province sports-friendly.


On the occasion of the Constitution Day and National Day 2081, Chief Minister Lama said that the sports sector is the priority of the government while inaugurating the friendly volleyball tournament organized jointly by the Provincial Day Main Ceremony Committee and Bagmati Provincial Government Ministry of Youth and Sports, Provincial Sports Development Council today in Hetauda.


"Sports is not just the jewel of the nation; it also defines the nation's identity," said Chief Minister Lama. He said that sports should be made more effective as youth can be saved from culpability by making them participate in sports.


In the program, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Bagmati Province Government Surajchandra Lamichhane discussed the important contribution of the sports sector in connecting the society and the nation and said that the government is striving for the development of the sports sector.
