### Scholarship Announcement for Children of Affected Foreign Workers
The Secretariat of the Foreign Employment Board has announced that scholarships are available for the children of individuals who died, became disabled, or fell ill while working abroad.
In a recent notice, the board invited applications from eligible children throughout the month of October. The scholarships are funded through the Foreign Welfare Fund and are aimed at supporting the education of children up to the 12th grade whose parents faced hardships during foreign employment.
Children attending community or institutional schools in Nepal are encouraged to apply. Once applications are received from qualified candidates, the board requests that schools forward the necessary documents to the relevant local education committee or Employment Service Center, as determined by the respective municipality.
The scholarship provides financial assistance of NPR 12,000 per year for students in grades 1 to 8 and NPR 16,000 per year for those in grades 9 to 12.
Tikaram Dhakal, the director and information officer of the board, emphasized the importance of this financial support.
