#### Organizational Context

This position is based in the United Nations office in Nepal. Executive Associates at this level typically report to an Administrative Officer, Executive Officer, Head of Unit, or Chief Administrative Officer.


#### Educational Requirements

- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. 

- Candidates must pass the Global General Service Test (GGST) to be considered for recruitment in the General Services and related categories within the UN Secretariat. Those who have not yet passed the GGST may be invited to take the test after submitting their application.


#### Work Experience

- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources, or related fields is required.

- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system, such as Umoja or similar, is desirable.

- Previous work experience with the United Nations or similar international organizations is also desirable.


#### Language Requirements

- The working languages of the United Nations Secretariat are English and French. 

- For this position, fluency in both oral and written English and Nepali is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is a plus.


*Fluency is defined as a rating of “fluent” in all four areas (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). Knowledge is defined as a rating of “confident” in two of the four areas.*


#### Assessment Process

Qualified candidates may undergo an assessment exercise, followed by a competency-based interview.
