Solukhumbu, March 4 Two attractive tourist destinations have been selected in Solukhumbu for the development and promotion of tourism infrastructure and tourism products.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has made arrangements for the construction of a park at Pattale in Soludhudhkund Municipality of Solukhumbu and the Sukepokhari area of Thulung Dudhkoshi village in the destination list on the basis of necessary budget cost sharing.
Mayor Namgel Jangbu Sherpa informed that the construction of the tourist park will be done at the cost of Rs. 45.5 million of the ministry and Rs. The municipality had recommended to build a park in Pattale, which is still an attractive destination for internal and external tourists.
Mayor Sherpa said that tree planting, garden, toilet and other structures will be constructed in the park. The municipality has stated that it is promoting tourism by developing the necessary physical infrastructure in Pattale, which is a place to observe dozens of mountain ranges including Everest.
Similarly, the ministry has submitted a budget of Rs. 28 million and Rs. 12 million for the construction of necessary infrastructure for the development of Sukepokhari in Thubung Dudhkoshi Village Municipality-5, Jubu as a tourist area.
The locals said that they are happy that the historical, archeological and scenic site of the district, Sukepokhari, will be developed as a tourist area, which will change the face of the covered Sukepokhari and help in raising the living standard of the citizens of the area.
The aim is to develop Sukepokhari in the main area of wards 4, 5 and 9 of Thulung Dudhkoshi village municipality as an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, said village chairman Asim Rai.
