The bonus shares of Prabhu Bank (PRVU) are listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

A total of 1,315,506.64 bonus shares of the bank were listed on Nepse on Wednesday.

The bank had distributed bonus shares of 10 percent of the paid-up capital to the shareholders from the last fiscal year's profit. The bonus shares distributed by the bank to the shareholders are listed in Nepse.

The shares can be traded in the secondary market after coming to the shareholder's demat account.

How the founder share of NCCB Bank rose 19.92 percent at once

Shares of the founder of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank (NCCB) rose 19.92 percent in the trading room of the Nepal Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

A total of 585,369 shares of the company were traded on Wednesday. At the rate of Rs 141.50 per unit, the turnover was Rs 828.29 million. Earlier, the company's last traded price was only Rs 118.

Investors are in a dilemma as to whether such a transaction will take place after the stock has risen by 20 per cent. But there is a provision in the rules that such a transaction can take place. Recently, the founder shares of the companies under NB Group in NCC Bank were sold through bidding. Which was auctioned by Sunrise Capital. The cut-off price of the company's founder shares was set at Rs 141.50 in the same auction. The same stock was traded on Nepse on Wednesday.

But last time, the same share was traded at Rs 118 per share in Nepse. However, he got a new price as he did not trade at Rs 141.50 for 60 consecutive days. For the same reason, the shares were traded at around 20 percent on Wednesday.

Rule 15 of the Securities Listing and Trading Rules, 2075 has a provision regarding price change limit. (1) (c) of the said provision states that "if there is no trading for 60 consecutive days, the starting price will be maintained when the securities are re-traded".

Explaining this, the same regulation states in Article 15 (2) of sub-rule (1) that in case of closure of denomination of securities by the listed organization, no transaction has been started for more than sixty days. In the case of trading of securities of an organized entity, the stock market can make different arrangements regarding the price change limit, ”it said.
