Damauli, March 25 The cable car under construction in Bandipur will be operational for ten years without making Tanahu a tourist destination. Work is in full swing as per the plan to provide cable car to the general public in Dashain. Chairman of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited, Ram Chandra Sharma, informed that the cable car can be operated in Dashain as the work under the first phase is almost completed. According to him, the work of the bottom station has been completed and the goods have also arrived. "The cable car terminal building can be completed within two months," Sharma said.

While work was gaining momentum, work was affected for some time last year due to the Kovid epidemic. "If it had not been for the Kovid epidemic, the cable car would have been operational by now," he said. According to Sharma, 65 percent of the project has been completed.

It is planned to operate cable car in the first phase and Queen Tower in the second phase. The seven-story slope of the fifteen-story Queen Tower has been completed. The Bandipur Cable Car Project is being constructed in South Asia with a different purpose. The cable car will enter the four-star hotel directly. Sunrise can be seen from the hotel. There will be a Sismahal, a wax museum, a planetarium, a ghost bungalow, a 1,000-capacity conference center, a restaurant zone, a swimming pool and 66 rooms. The cost of the Queen Tower to be constructed at the upper station is Rs. 800 million.

The company is also planning to build the world's tallest bungee jump, tallest mechanical swing and musical water show to make the project more attractive, said operator Taranath Upadhyaya. The company claims that the project has a strategic plan to attract tens of thousands of tourists to Bandipur. There will be a lower station in Thuldhunga of Bandipur Gaonpalika-4 and an upper station in Baralthok of the same ward. The cable car connecting Thuldhungaswara to Baralthok will be able to cross 200 hrs per hour. It is believed that the Siddha Cave in Bimalnagar, which is claimed to be the biggest in Asia, and Bandipur, which is suitable for natural scenery, will be the center of attraction for tourists. Starting from Thuldhungaswara, the cable car will reach the height of Bandipur by passing by Siddhagufa. The cable car will travel one kilometer 600 meters.

Two banks have invested in loans for the cable car project. Nepal SBI Bank and NMB Bank Limited are the banking partners. The cost of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism is Rs. 1.66 billion while the equity and loan ratio is 39.61. RKD Real Estate and Construction Limited and Tourism Investment Fund Limited have 61 percent share in the project, Panchase Cable Car and Tours Limited has 25 percent share and local investors including Bandipur village municipality have 14 percent share.
