Kathmandu, February 24: A meeting of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) is being held. A meeting was convened in Baluwatar at 11 am today, said Satyanarayana Mandal, a member of the standing committee.
The leaders informed that the upcoming decision to be taken by the party will be discussed after the Supreme Court dismisses the issue of dissolution of the House of Representatives on Tuesday. While the CPN-Prachanda-Madhav faction is preparing to hold a victory procession across the country on Wednesday, welcoming the decision of the Supreme Court, a meeting of the CPN-Maoist's standing committee is about to take place.
The meeting informed that important decisions would be taken by the party in the coming days after discussing the important steps to be taken. Earlier on Tuesday, Press Advisor to the Prime Minister Surya Thapa had said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli would not resign from the post and would implement the decision in the parliament.
